I recently got the opportunity to go to Hawaii. While I was there I went to Pearl Harbor and visited the memorial. It was such an interesting place. It was beautiful but I wondered how a place full of such beauty has seen so much death and destruction.

This is a photo from the memorial of the oil that was leaking up from the ships' remains. The guide told us that it had been leaking oil from the day of the attack and has not stopped. People have said that they believe the leak is like the ships' tears and it will not stop crying until the last survivor of the attack has passed on.
